Researching road safety problems and issues is vital for the work of Road Safety Scotland. We commission a variety of research projects ranging from attitudinal surveys to evaluation studies. Certain projects are funded directly from our budgets.

In addition, the Scottish Government's Transport Directorate allocates a sum for projects carried out on behalf of Road Safety Scotland, while the main research programme is funded by the Scottish Government's Transport Research Planning Group.
